ශාන්ත මාටින් සූපශාස්ත්‍ර උත්සවය නැවත ගෙන එයි

කැරිබියන් දූපත් හි සූපශාස්ත්‍ර ගමනාන්තයක් ලෙස ශාන්ත මාටින්ගේ ස්ථානය තහවුරු කළ පසුගිය වසරේ මෙම ඉසව්වේ සාර්ථකත්වයෙන් පසුව, ශාන්ත මාටින් සංචාරක කාර්යාලය 11 නොවැම්බර් 22 සිට 2022 දක්වා මෙම ගැස්ට්‍රොනොමි උත්සවයේ දෙවන සංස්කරණය සංවිධානය කරයි.

The first edition of the event was a roaring success, drawing interest from Travel + Leisure, Forbes, Eater and several other publications including high profile influencers.

A host of culinary talent from all over the world, as well as foodies who want to embark on a gourmet journey, are expected to attend the second edition of the festival. This year, the Tourist Office will once again showcase the island’s culinary diversity and celebrate the exceptional heritage for which the destination is well known.

Events will include cooking workshops for people of all ages, led by local and international chefs, a mixology competition, a BBQ competition, and from November 18-20, a gourmet village open to visitors looking to discover local products.

In addition, there will be tasting menus centered around this year’s chosen ingredient: the plantain, in the many restaurants participating in the competition for “Best Table”.

The St. Martin Tourist Office has invited a lineup of talented chefs to truly spice up the Culinary Festival: Nicolas Sale, French chef with 2 Michelin stars; Laurent Huguet, French Michelin-starred chef; Ilham Moudnib, French pastry chef and finalist of the Pastry World Cup in 2015; Lionel Lévy, French Michelin-starred chef; Vladimir François-Maïkoouva, private chef and consultant from Martinique; Rafael Pires, Brazilian chef from the Institut Paul Bocuse School of Culinary Arts; Daniel Vézina, Canadian ambassador of responsible, no-waste cuisine; Maame Boakye, Ghanaian winner of the “Best at the Fare Savory” at the famous World Fare Festival in New York; Renee Blackman, New York based Barbadian chef whose culinary talent has been celebrated by the James Beard Foundation and who has appeared on Food Network’s Chopped; Ninon Fauvarque, French mixologist and winner of the Havana Club Cocktail Prize in 2018; and Mia Mastroianni, mixologist and consultant.

St. Martin will also be able to count on the presence of Alain Warth, head of the Gastronomy Department for mainland France and Overseas Territories for the SCR Prod Group, and founder of the Gault & Millau culinary guide for the French West Indies & Guiana. Mr. Warth will be the coordinator for the chefs taking part in this 2nd edition of the gastronomy festival. Expert consultant in the restaurant industry and mixology, Arthur Sutley, will also be among the special guests at the festival.

Journalists and influencers from the US, South America, Canada and Europe will be in attendance at this year’s festival, which is shaping up to be an essential event for anyone who would like to discover this authentic and lively island.
